Constant Change
I took this shot from Hollis Street, looking through the vacant lot of the YWCA up to the grey house that I used to live in on Barrington Street.
I'm on the move again, but don't know where I'm going. Packing boxes entails going through lots of old crap. I read things I have written in the past, where I muse over major changes, and express repeatedly, over many years and many changes "this is the first time I have been so aware of change as it is happening". Liar. This sentiment is repeated as far back as 15 years ago, and is echoed as recently as 2005.
Now it dawns on me, finally. Change is constant.
I've been devouring a locals thread about the former punk scene. It's fascinating stuff. And somebody mentioned how this neighborhood will be a thing of the past in 2 years. It will be "developed", they said.
Then I remembered that I have a digital camera. I'm not going to forget why I love it here.

I can't believe you lived in that house. I love that house.
If you keep an eye out, you know that a bachelor in that place will come up again. I'll keep an eye out for you.
It's a lovely neighbourhood and I don't know how you're going to leave it, even for just a month.
Can I visit you at Park Vic, though? I haven't been in there for years!!
